In a remarkable display of philanthropy and grassroots empowerment, Dr. Prince Lawrence Ezeh, the Enugu State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, has disbursed ₦50 million in non-refundable grants to the people of his hometown, Mburubu, in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State. The initiative aims to boost farming activities, uplift local businesses, and complement Governor Peter Mbah’s administration mission to eradicate poverty from every home in the state.

The funds, drawn from Dr. Ezeh’s personal resources, were distributed directly to hundreds of beneficiaries via direct cheques during a well-attended community ceremony. Individuals received between ₦200,000 and ₦500,000, while each of the community’s villages received ₦1 million. The Mburubu youth were collectively awarded a special grant of ₦3 million to encourage enterprise and innovation.
