Awgu LGA Sees Significant Boost in Electricity Supply as Hon. Uchenna Okolo Hands Over 300 KVA Transformers to Communities

Uchenna Joseph Okolo, Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, officially handed over a 300 KVA power distribution transformer to Agbogugu Autonomous Community and Mgbowo Community on May 22, 2025. Additional transformers were also designated for the local council headquarters and surrounding areas.

The handover ceremony, which took place at the local council headquarters, was attended by prominent community leaders, including His Royal Highness Igwe John Azubuike Ibe, Ohabuenyi II of Ekpulambo Mgbowo, and His Royal Highness Igwe Greg Ikwuagwu Ituma Onyima II of Ekpulato Mgbowo, along with other notable representatives from the beneficiary communities. The leaders expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Okolo for his dedication to improving the living standards of the residents.
