The Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB) has congratulated children in the state on the occasion of the Children’s Day celebration, held on May 27th.

In a statement signed by Assoc. Prof. Hyginus Banko Okibe, Executive Chairman of ENSUBEB, the board commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s initiatives in prioritizing education.

“Education is the catalyst for building human capital development, and no nation can grow beyond its investment in the succeeding generation,” Prof. Okibe stated. He noted that the state’s allocation of 33.3% of its annual budget to education demonstrates the government’s commitment to providing quality education.

The ENSUBEB chairman highlighted the Smart Green School Project, describing it as a “game-changer” that provides world-class facilities for comprehensive education. “The Smart Green School Project has become a game-changer and the most sought-after resource in Enugu state,” he said.

Prof. Okibe urged children to take advantage of the Smart Green School and develop themselves, advising them to “resist the temptation of obsession with get-rich syndrome and become change agents that will give hope in the future of Enugu State.”

The ENSUBEB chairman expressed the board’s commitment to supporting children in acquiring the right education to become good citizens. “ENSUBEB is happy to be a part of your celebration and will continue to support you to acquire the right education and become good citizens that the Enugu state, Nigeria, Africa, and the world will be proud of,” he stated.
