Dr. Peter Mbah as the governor of Enugu State but we will not forget the Igbo adage that says ” na eji ututu ama ka ubochi ga adi” loosely translated to mean ” the day is known by the morning “.
No wonder in Igbo cosmology and spirituality, the future of a child is discerned by consulting with the oracle especially when the child is displaying certain behaviors that is beyond the parents and family’s understanding at that tender age, this they do by igba afa and in recent times by consulting a pastor, priest, prophet or prophtess to tell them what the future holds for the new born.
Dr. Mbah has within two years of his administration shown Ndi Enugu what their tomorrow is like,no wonder he choosed the slogan: Tomorrow Is Here. The slogan is not just a mere political mantra but it is a philosophical statement backed by Dr Mbah’s strong convictions and intentions for Ndi Enugu.It is little wonder, that since he came on board a lot has changed in how government business is conducted in the state. This he made possible by bringing his years of experience in the private sector and his stint in the state’s governance to bear with the resultant effect being the disruptive governance we are all witnesses to.
Since 1979 to date,both as old Anambra State, old Enugu State and present Enugu State the state has not witnessed the kind of accelerated development it is witnessing just within two years in all sectors both in civilian and military governments,the only administration with such rapid developmental achievement within a short period is the administration of our father, His Excellency Chief Dr. Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo(Anyawu Nawaraoha ) not even the much talked about administration of His Excellency Dr. Chimaroke Ogbonnaya Nnamani (Ebeano) was able to achieve this much within two years nor the symbolic government of Bar. Sullivan Iheanacho Chime. Infact Dr. Mbah is a trailblazer. An enigma of sort. A man ahead of his time and peers. A pacesetter. A disruptive innovator per excellence!
His Excellency Bar. Dr. Peter Mbah is indeed a blessing to the Waawa man,Ndi Enugu,Ndi Igbo and humanity at large; he came at the right time and has redefined democracy and what dividends of democracy is and has given us reasons to celebrate a worthy two years of quality leadership and stewardship that is future driven and citizen centered.
Indeed the tomorrow we all seek as Ndi Enugu is here with us and we are rest assured that the remaining two years of his first four years in office will be work and more work and great work as he has shown that he is a believer in the words of the late American innovator Steve Jobs the founder of Apple Incorporated who once said “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.”
