His unwavering commitment to development and welfare has earned him the trust and admiration of his constituents, reflecting his guiding principle that “politics is all about the people.”
The illumination of over 50 communities with solar street lights has been a game-changer, enhancing visibility, safety, and security in the area. Some of the communities and streets that have benefited from this initiative include Nkpologu Emene, Mainland Street Emene, Bank Street Emene, Trans Ekulu-Road 12, Road 18, Road 7, Road 8, Road 11, and Road 10, Ogbowere, Trans Ekulu, Akpugo Street, Ugboye Street, Abakpa, Ugboezeji market, Ezeji close, Silas Street, Uzo Ava street, Mission Road, Ugbodogwu, St Theresa’s Catholic Church, Phase 6 Trans Ekulu, Otti Ernest Street Trans Ekulu, Arc. Osita Ikekpeazu Close, Trans Ekulu, Akpuoga Nike, Umunonu, Umunameze, Umunagbo, Amankpaka, and Obinagu Villages in Ugwogo Nike, Villages in Mburuiyiukwu, Ikem Nkwo, Neke Isi Uzọ, Eha Amufu, and Mbu in Isi Uzo. This initiative has improved visibility, safety, and security, and facilitated easier access through streets, communities, markets, schools, and healthcare centers.
The construction of classroom blocks in various schools has provided a conducive learning environment for students. Some of the schools that have benefited from this initiative include Practicing School, Emene, and Community Primary School Ako Nike. These schools now have more classrooms, reducing congestion and improving the overall learning experience for students.
The medical outreaches conducted by Prof. Nnamchi have delivered essential healthcare services to thousands of constituents. The outreaches were conducted at various locations, including Federal University of Allied Health Sciences Trans Ekulu (Formerly School of Dental Technology), Enugu, St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Abakpa Nike Enugu East, Queen of Holy Rosary Catholic Church Abakpa Nike, Akpuoga Nike Community Health Center Enugu East, Ikem Isiuzo Local Government, and Eha Amufu Isiuzo Local Government. These exercises benefited over thousands of constituents having various health challenges like eye problems, toothache, malaria, and typhoid, low and high sugar levels, high and low blood pressures, and prevalent health challenges. Eye glasses were distributed to over 200 patients, and several other ailments were treated, with drugs distributed to constituents.
Prof. Nnamchi’s dedication to education is evident in the provision of scholarships and bursary awards to over 200 students across the various wards in the constituency into various Tertiary Institutions within the country. This initiative has been a significant boost to the academic pursuits of these students.
The Tech Hub and Youth Innovation (PPNTAYI) ICT training program has equipped over 500 youths with valuable digital skills, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the constituency. This initiative demonstrates Prof. Nnamchi’s commitment to empowering the youths of the constituency and equipping them with the skills needed to succeed in the digital age.
The distribution of palliatives and relief materials to constituents during challenging times has been a source of comfort to many. Prof. Nnamchi has regularly distributed food items and cash gifts to constituents during Christmas and New Year celebrations and has also reached out to Muslim constituents during Ramadan fast and other festivities with distribution of food items, cash, and praying mats.
Prof. Nnamchi’s leadership has been recognized and commended by various institutions, organizations, and communities. His outstanding performance has earned him numerous awards and accolades, including recognitions from the Nigeria Union of Journalist, Enugu State Council, Metallurgical and Material Industry and Academia, Umunameze Community, Umunameze Youths, Council of Traditional Rulers Isi Uzo Local Government, Verbatim Magazine Abuja, among others.
As Prof. Nnamchi continues to serve his people, it is clear that his vision for a prosperous and thriving Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency is becoming a reality. His dedication to delivering and improving on his campaign promises is a hallmark of his leadership, and his constituents look forward to many more years of unprecedented development under his leadership.
