The Enugu State Government has officially launched the Enugu State Campus Hackathon 2025, a state-wide innovation challenge aimed at identifying, nurturing, and empowering the next generation of tech talents, builders, and solutionists from across Enugu.
The initiative, led by the Enugu SME Center and the Office of Digital Economy, is being implemented in partnership with Genesys Tech Hub, The Garage, and Capitis Global Ventures. With a prize pool exceeding $100,000, the hackathon combines financial support with mentorship, incubation, and access to startup development resources.
Open to All Youth in Enugu
The hackathon is open to students, recent graduates, and youth aged 18 to 35 who reside in Enugu State. Applicants do not need to be formally enrolled in school, but they must register under one of the six participating academic institutions.

Campus Round Prizes
Each of the six participating campuses will host preliminary competitions, with the top three teams at each location receiving:
磊 ₦750,000 – First Place
賂 ₦500,000 – Second Place
雷 ₦250,000 – Third Place
This brings the total prize value for campus rounds to ₦9 million.
In addition, an exclusive $5,000+ Innovation Pool is available for outstanding deep technology solutions, supported by the African Deep Tech Community.
Grand Finale Awards
The top teams from each campus will progress to the grand finale, where they will compete for international-standard startup support and grants:
磊 $5,000 grant + post-incubation funding and mentorship
賂 $3,500 grant + business support
雷 $2,500 grant + growth-focused incubation
