The Executive Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State chapter, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, has reaffirmed his resolve to mirror the achievements of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah at the grassroots level.

Speaking during the August edition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) monthly stakeholders’ meeting in Nkanu East, Hon. Edeh commended Governor Mbah’s visionary governance style, noting that its positive impacts are already evident across the local government.

“We are not just following His Excellency’s footsteps; we are replicating his achievements here in Nkanu East. From infrastructure to education, human capital development, and healthcare, our people are already feeling the impact,” Edeh stated.

The well-attended meeting brought together party faithful, stakeholders, and government appointees, who commended both Governor Mbah’s transformative leadership and Hon. Edeh’s inclusive, results-driven administration.

PDP Chairman in Nkanu East, Hon. Cornelius Edeh, expressed deep appreciation for the council boss’s steadfast support to the party, describing him as a leader with rare political and administrative acumen.

Representing Nkanu East/West in the House of Representatives, Hon. Nnolim Nnaji, through a delegate, lauded Governor Mbah’s achievements, saying: “Governor Mbah is the political party we know, and the people will follow him wherever he goes.”

Hon. Okey Mbah, member representing Nkanu East in the Enugu State House of Assembly, praised Hon. Sydney Edeh for fostering strong collaboration with stakeholders and aligning local policies with the governor’s broader development agenda. He urged other council chairmen to emulate Edeh’s leadership style.

The meeting concluded with renewed calls for unity among party members and a shared resolve to sustain PDP’s dominance in Enugu State through development-driven leadership.
