Anayo Onwuegbu FNSE, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In his goodwill message, Hon. Onwuegbu stated:
“Wishing you and your family immense joy, peace, good health and prosperity on the occasion of Eid El Maulud.”
He described the celebration as a period of deep spiritual reflection and a reminder of the noble virtues of the Holy Prophet, which include compassion, humility, selflessness, tolerance, and unwavering faith in God. According to him, these values remain relevant in addressing the social, moral, and leadership challenges confronting the nation today.
Hon. Onwuegbu urged the Muslim Ummah to seize the opportunity of this sacred season to intensify prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity in Nigeria, especially at a time when the country is in need of healing and renewal. He emphasized that the message of Eid-El-Maulud goes beyond celebration; it is a call to action for all citizens to embrace love, promote mutual respect, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood regardless of religious or ethnic background.
The federal lawmaker further noted that Nigeria’s diversity should be a source of strength and progress, rather than division. He encouraged citizens to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s exemplary life of service to God and humanity, pledging his continued commitment to providing quality representation, fostering inclusivity, and supporting initiatives that will uplift the living conditions of his constituents.
While praying that the blessings of Eid-El-Maulud usher in hope and prosperity for all Nigerians, Hon. Onwuegbu reiterated his belief that, with faith, unity, and purposeful leadership, Nigeria will overcome its present challenges and emerge stronger.
