Forget the noise, forget the propaganda. The truth is clear: Governor Peter Mbah is rewriting the story of project delivery in Enugu State. His administration has placed competence above connections and capacity above patronage—a sharp break from the old ways of doing things.

Today, over 85% of completed and ongoing projects are executed by local contractors—majority of them Igbos. This is not just governance; it is empowerment. It is putting Enugu’s future in the hands of its own people.

In less than two years, hundreds of quality projects have been delivered, touching lives across communities. Schools, hospitals, roads, water systems—name it. The results are visible, the impact undeniable.

And how are these projects awarded? Through open bidding, due process, and full compliance with the law. Every contract passes through a transparent, competitive system where only the best rise to the top. No backdoor deals. No hidden agenda.

Even the handling of public funds is different. In this government, every transaction is open, traceable, and accessible to the public. This is accountability at work.

Of course, as in every system, some companies attempt to cut corners. But here is the difference: under Mbah, sharp practices have no hiding place. Individuals, companies or contractors caught will face the wrath of the law, and pay dearly for it. The days of abandoned projects and poor-quality execution are gone. Erring contractors are exposed and punished, no matter their name.

Because the governor is determined to deliver beyond expectations, contracts are tied to strict timelines. Only companies with real capacity for speed and quality delivery make the cut.

Want to know who is building what? Just visit the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure or any of the construction site. The identities of contractors are boldly disclosed—nothing hidden, nothing shady.

Looking ahead, the government remains committed to one principle: the best hands for the greatest good of the greatest number. That means more opportunities for capable local contractors, and more confidence for the people.

Above all, Governor Mbah has anchored his administration on openness, transparency, and accountability. Every project is traceable, every kobo accountable, every action taken for the people.

This is not politics. This is progress. Meritocracy above favoritism and prebendalism.
This is why the administration of Governor Mbah stands out in the country in terms of diversity, performance, and recruitment of best brains. The proof is everywhere in the state – clean cities, quality and interconnected road network, sustained infrastructure, seamless communication and transport services, human capital development, job creation, youth empowerment, etc.

Enugu is working. Enugu is rising. And the people are the winners. Tomorrow Is Here…
