The Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN), in partnership with the Enugu State Government through the Enugu SME Center/Office of Digital Economy, has announced the DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program (DETP) – Enugu Edition, designed to equip small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with the skills, certification, and funding opportunities needed to scale their businesses.

According to the organizers, the DETP is structured not only to build capacity but also to make participating businesses funding-ready and bankable. “It is more than just another training—it is a gateway to real business growth,” the statement read.
Program Highlights
11 Business Courses: Participants will complete world-class modules covering Accounting, Credit Management, Marketing, Sustainability, and more via a self-paced online portal.
DBN Certification: Graduates will earn official DBN certificates, recognized across the financial and investment community.
Three-Day Workshop: An intensive in-person session in Enugu or Abia will bring together entrepreneurs, business coaches, and financial institutions for learning and networking.
Grant Competition: Finalists from the program will pitch their ideas for a chance to secure up to ₦5 million each from the DBN ₦100 million grant pool.
Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must:
Operate a CAC-registered business with at least two years of operation.
Be based in Enugu or Abia State.
Be willing to complete the full online training curriculum.
