The Enugu State Government has approved a 50 per cent reduction in the fees for the processing of Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) and other land title documents in the state.
This was contained in a public announcement issued by the Enugu State Geographic Information System Services (ENGIS), which stated that the government has introduced a special 45-day discount window aimed at encouraging property owners to regularize their land records.
According to a statement signed by Chinwetalu Nwatu, Managing Director of ENGIS, the discount period commenced on October 15, 2025, during which property owners can process their C of O and other land title documents and enjoy a 50 per cent cut on all applicable fees.
ENGIS explained that the initiative forms part of the state government’s commitment to promoting transparency in land administration, ensuring proper documentation of land ownership, and blocking revenue leakages across the system.
