They were warmly received by the Chief Executive Officer, Capt. Theo Onu, a retired airline pilot with over 30 years of flying experience who has now devoted himself to his life’s passion- creating jobs, empowering young people, and adding value through innovative agro-processing and beverage production.

Capt. Onu conducted the Commissioners on a detailed tour of the facility, where he showcased the company’s wide range of products. He explained that Citrexx Winery produces an array of fine wines made from non-GMO grapes grown at the Amazon Hills in Chile, ensuring premium quality and natural flavour. The wine varieties include Pinot Noir, Merlot, Camenere, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay.

In addition to wines, the company produces fruit juices- apple, orange, and pineapple.
Citrexx has further diversified into household and food products, including enzymatic dishwashing detergent, enzymatic laundry detergent, gourmet rice, and noodles.

Capt. Onu also highlighted that the company’s table water and alkaline water are coal-filtered from the Ajali Aquifer, making them some of the most natural and purest water products available in the market. He emphasized that Citrexx Winery is proud of its workforce, which is largely made up of youthful employees making significant impact through their dedication and innovation.

He further added that more information about the company’s products and operations is available on their website: www.citrexx.com.

After touring the facility, the Honourable Commissioners commended Capt. Onu for the exceptional production standards, the cleanliness and orderliness of the premises, and the company’s impressive growth trajectory. They praised his vision and his commitment to building a brand that aligns with global best practices.

They assured him of full support from the State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, particularly in expanding market access both locally and internationally. The Commissioners reaffirmed that the government is committed to empowering indigenous businesses that drive economic development, job creation, and industrial growth in the state.
