The YouthCred Initiative is aligned with the economic reform agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, which prioritizes expanding access to fair, affordable, and responsible consumer credit for working Nigerians, especially young people. The programme is designed to provide structured, collateral-free credit while eliminating exploitative lending practices that have long limited financial inclusion.

In Enugu State, the initiative is being advanced under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and delivered through the Enugu SME Center / Office of Digital Economy (Enugu MSME & Startup Agency). The programme forms a key part of the State Government’s broader strategy to unlock productivity, stimulate income growth, and strengthen financial inclusion across the workforce.

The YouthCred Initiative supports access to credit for essential productivity and quality-of-life needs, including work tools and professional equipment, digital devices such as phones, laptops, and tablets, solar and power solutions, mobility and transport needs, as well as essential household and life needs.

Designed to help young people work better, earn better, and live better, YouthCred empowers beneficiaries with responsible consumer credit that enhances productivity and living standards, while also promoting a healthy repayment culture and long-term creditworthiness.
Employed young people in Enugu State who are ready to take the next step toward financial stability and increased productivity are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
