The Mgbowo Unity Football Tournament 2025 kicked off in spectacular fashion at the BSS Mgbowo Pitch, as Inyi FC recorded a hard-fought 2–1 victory over defending champions Ezioha FC in the tournament’s opening match.

Ezioha FC, entering the competition as reigning champions, drew first blood through Rapuchi, who scored an earlier goal to give the defending champions the lead.

Inyi FC responded with resilience and composure, with Joshua Kama netting a crucial equaliser before halftime to level the score at 1–1.

The second half saw Inyi FC grow in confidence and control, blending disciplined defending with incisive attacking play.

Their efforts were rewarded when Dike Emmanuel Chidera scored the decisive goal, sealing a memorable victory.
