As the primus son of Ugwogo Nike, Umuezeani joins sister villages in upholding ancestral heritage, but this yearโs edition stood out as historic due to the scale and significance of the coronations.

The highlight of the event was the installation of eminent personalities into various traditional titles, a milestone that has been described as one of the most remarkable moments in the recent history of Umuezeani.

Festivities heightened as the prospective chiefs arrived at the palace of the traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty, Eze Joseph Agbo Ugwumba, the Eze I of Umuezeani. Accompanied by their wives, whose elegant attire added colour and grandeur, the atmosphere reflected the solemnity and dignity of the sacred rite.

Those honoured with chieftaincy titles and traditional names included:
Hon. Chief Donatus Agbodo (Onye Udo I of Umuezeani); Chief Francis Ndubuisi Okoh (Ugochukwu Tubelu Nke Izizi I of Umuezeani); Chief Barr. Chukwuemeka Agbo (Anya Na Eche Obodo Umuezeani); Chief Godwin Agbo (Agu Agu I of Umuezeani); Chief Hon. Comr. Chijioke Udemezue Okoh (Ejuenyim I of Umuezeani); Chief Anthony Chibueze Edeh (Eche Ibe I of Umuezeani); Chief Dr. Sunday Agbo (Chinemeze I of Umuezeani); Chief Peter Nnamdi Agbo (Ezesinachi of Umuezeani); Chief Okolo Okechukwu Reuben (The Crowned Prince of Umuezeani); Chief Ugwu Cajethan Okoh (Mmili Nwelu Ugo I of Umuezeani); Chief Nnamani Michael Sunday (Eze Nkamuka I of Umuezeani); Chief Sunday Kingsley Nwabuisi (Ezi Afa Ka Ego I of Umuezeani); Chief Emmanuel Onyeabor Agbodo (Nwatakwocha of Umuezeani); Chief Clement Okonkwo Ugwu (Mba Ama Onye แปคkwu of Umuezeani); Chief Sunday Remigius Okolo (Ohamadike I of Umuezeani); and Miss Chidimma Favour Edeh (Adaeze Umuezeani).
The coronation ceremony took a solemn turn with the arrival of the monarch. As Eze Ugwumba entered the arena, calmness and reverence enveloped the gathering. The traditional ruler invoked God Almighty and called on the ancestors of Umuezeani to witness the induction of their sons and daughter into the revered Ojiogavo lineage.

Each recipient, summoned in turn, bowed in humility to receive their title. In his charge, Eze Ugwumba commended them for their commitment to peace, unity, and development, while urging them to uphold good character and avoid actions capable of undermining the progress of the community.

The event attracted dignitaries from across the political and social spectrum. Leading the delegation was the Mayor of Enugu East Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Beloved Dan Obi Anike, accompanied by senior council officials, including Hon. Barr. Obinna Mbaeke, Secretary of the Council; Rt. Hon. Obed Obumneme Eke, Leader of the Legislative Arm; Hon. Nelson Odiuko Okoh, SSA on Legislative Matters; Hon. Sunday Edeh, Supervisor for Works; and Hon. Comr. Cornelius Oforkansi Oya, LG Youth Leader.

Other notable guests included former Enugu State Commissioner for Lands, Surv. Prof. Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam (Ugwu Enugu), Principal Consultant of Geosquaremeter Innovative Ltd; Chief Engr. Okwudili Emejulu (Akiota-Eze Chimerije); Comr. Dominic Chukwuebuka Okoh, Youth President of Umunameze; Hon. Silas Oguegbe, former Administrator of Mbulu Iyiukwu Development Centre; Nze Pius Oguegbe; Hon. Chibuzor Ugwuede; Ede Eze (Senator), among others.

In a gesture of goodwill, Hon. Engr. Anike donated bags of rice and a live cow, describing Eze Ugwumba as a father figure whose relationship with him goes beyond friendship. Surv. Prof. Victor Nnam and Chief Engr. Okwudili Emejulu also donated โฆ1 million each, while several other guests made generous contributions.

Beyond the pageantry, the celebration served as a reminder of enduring communal values. As reflected in the title โEzi Afa Ka Egoโ (a good name is better than riches), the festival underscored the importance of integrity, service, and honour.

With its rich cultural heritage and strong ancestral foundation, Umunonu Umuezeani, Ugwogo Nike, continues to stand as a symbol of tradition, unity, and purposeful leadership.
