The exercise follows the earlier commencement of the e-registration drive by former President of the Senate, Senator Ken Nnamani, GCON.

Speaking shortly after completing his registration, Egbo explained that the e-registration exercise was designed to authenticate the membership status of both existing and new members while establishing a credible, centralised and verifiable database for the party.
โThis process is fundamental to the growth and credibility of the APC. It will enhance transparency, improve coordination at all levels and deepen internal democracy by ensuring that our membership records are accurate and up to date,โ he said.

A former commissioner in Enugu State, Egbo urged party members across the state to actively participate in the ongoing exercise, stressing that broad grassroots involvement would further entrench the APC and strengthen its competitive edge. He also called on young people to take advantage of the exercise to formally align with the ruling party, noting that youth participation remains critical to leadership renewal and sustainable governance in Nigeria.
Dr. Egbo used the occasion to express strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commending what he described as the Presidentโs bold, decisive and people-centred leadership style. According to him, the Tinubu administration has demonstrated uncommon courage in implementing difficult but necessary reforms aimed at stabilising the economy, strengthening institutions and laying the foundation for inclusive growth.
He noted that policies such as fiscal reforms, renewed focus on infrastructure development, social intervention programmes and institutional strengthening were already repositioning the country for long-term development.

Egbo also praised Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State for what he described as a clear, development-driven governance philosophy anchored on strategic investments in infrastructure, transportation, security, water supply and economic revitalisation.

โGovernor Peter Mbah is laying a solid foundation for sustainable development in Enugu State. His approach to governance reflects vision, discipline and a commitment to measurable results. In the same vein, President Tinubu continues to show leadership by taking tough decisions today to secure a better future for Nigerians,โ he said.
He further declared his firm support for both leaders, vowing to mobilise grassroots support to ensure their continued success in future elections.

In her remarks, Hon. Juliet Egbo, a founding member of the APC in Enugu State and the partyโs candidate for the Enugu North and South Federal Constituency in the 2023 House of Representatives election, expressed optimism about the partyโs growing acceptance in the state.
She said the APC had firmly established itself as a viable political force in Enugu State and commended the growing enthusiasm among residents. She also lauded Governor Mbah, describing him as โa leader who saw tomorrow early,โ and noted that his policies and reforms reflect foresight and a clear vision for the stateโs long-term development.
Earlier, the Enugu State APC E-Registration Coordinator, Chief Flavour Eze, explained that the registration process involves the submission of membersโ National Identification Numbers (NIN) and Voter Identification Numbers (VIN) for verification, confirmation of personal details and the capturing of photographs.
He said successful registrants are issued a printed temporary membership slip at the end of the process.
Chief Eze urged residents to fully participate in the exercise, explaining that registration would enable members to benefit from forthcoming government empowerment programmes, including World Bank-supported initiatives, and emphasised that only registered members would qualify.
According to him, the digital registration process has already generated renewed interest in the party, with many residents who were previously indifferent now indicating willingness to join.
โThe turnout we are witnessing today is a clear sign that this initiative is resonating with the people. There is renewed enthusiasm, and we are confident that Ward 1 will record a significant increase in membership in the coming weeks,โ he said.
The APC e-registration exercise forms part of the partyโs nationwide effort to modernise its membership system, deepen grassroots participation and enhance organisational efficiency ahead of future political engagements.
