
Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has congratulated members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the elected at the party’s 8th National Convention held in Abuja on Friday.

In a statement, Mbah described the emergence of the new executives as a case of “round pegs in round holes,” noting that their election reflects deep confidence in their capacity to reposition the party and lead it to greater heights, including a decisive victory in the 2027 general elections.
He specifically highlighted the National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Basiru; Deputy National Chairman (South), Dr. Ben Nwoye; Deputy National Chairman (North), Ali Bukar Dalori, alongside other members of the executive, stating that they bring with them a wealth of experience in party politics and an unalloyed commitment to democracy, national development, and party cohesion.
The governor also paid tribute to , commending his leadership for ensuring a peaceful and orderly convention. He noted that the atmosphere of conviviality, unity, and brotherhood witnessed during the exercise underscored Tinubu’s inclusive governance style and political dexterity.
According to Mbah, the rancour-free conduct of the convention has once again positioned the APC as a model for internal democracy and party organization, setting a standard for other political parties in the country.

“Democracy is about the people, and we have demonstrated that tonight. The success of this convention shows that as a party, we are not only modeling good governance and implementing reforms that are repositioning our economy, we have also shown that the APC is a model in party politics and that we are one big family,” the governor stated.
He further pledged his full support to the newly elected leadership and urged party members nationwide to rally behind them in consolidating the gains of the recent congresses and the successful national convention.
