The Member representing Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, FNSE, has formally welcomed the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, alongside top government officials and political stakeholders, to Enugu West Senatorial Zone ahead of a major political rally scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026.

The event, billed as the Enugu West Mega Rally and Endorsement Rally, will hold at the Awgu Local Government Secretariat and is expected to attract a large turnout of party faithful, grassroots mobilizers, community leaders, and political stakeholders across the senatorial district.
In a statement ahead of the gathering, Hon. Onwuegbu described the Greater Awgu axis as a “second home” to the Governor, citing sustained infrastructural expansion, human capital development initiatives, and empowerment programmes executed under the Mbah administration.
He further affirmed that constituents across Aninri, Awgu, and Oji-River have been fully mobilized in support of the Governor’s reelection bid, aligning it with a consolidation of ongoing developmental gains in the state.
The rally, holding under the slogan “In Support of Good Governance and Continuity – 4+4 = Continuity,” reflects a broader political message of continuity and consolidation of governance achievements within the state’s political landscape.
According to the lawmaker, Governor Mbah’s administration reflects a transformational governance model, positioning him as a reform-oriented leader with a focus on economic restructuring and infrastructure renewal.
The political gathering is also expected to reinforce support for the broader “Renewed Hope” policy direction of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the federal level.
The Enugu West Mega Rally comes amid intensified political consultations and mobilization efforts across the state ahead of future electoral cycles, with stakeholders describing it as a strategic show of strength within the ruling political structure.
