The Enugu Regional Association of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) Alumni Association has honoured the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Engr. Jude Chinedu Asogwa, KSJI, with a Distinguished Award of Excellence in Public Service.

Prof. Ani noted that the Asogwa-led administration has continued to initiate and execute people-oriented projects aimed at addressing critical infrastructure and social needs, thereby improving the welfare of residents across the council area.
Receiving the award, Engr. Asogwa expressed appreciation to the association for the honour, describing it as both encouraging and a call to further service.
He said: “I see this award as an encouragement to remain steadfast in our commitment to quality leadership and selfless service to the people. We are too focused to be distracted. This recognition reminds us that our efforts in improving the lives of our people are being noticed and appreciated. I dedicate this award to the entire people of Nsukka whose support and cooperation continue to inspire us to do more for the growth and development of our local government.”
He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to sustain ongoing developmental initiatives and ensure that governance remains responsive to the needs and aspirations of the people.
