Uchenna Okolo, has congratulated Governor on his emergence as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, describing the outcome of the party primary as a clear reflection of the confidence and trust the people repose in his leadership.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, the Awgu Council Chairman said the primary election demonstrated unity, loyalty, and overwhelming support for Governor Mbah’s administration across the state.
According to Okolo, the massive turnout of party faithful across the 260 wards in Enugu State underscored the growing acceptance of the governor’s leadership style and developmental agenda. He noted that in Awgu Local Government Area, supporters celebrated the outcome in what he described as a carnival-like atmosphere, affirming the governor’s popularity among the people.
The council chairman attributed the widespread support to Governor Mbah’s infrastructural development initiatives, people-oriented policies, and commitment to transforming communities across the state.
“This victory goes beyond politics. It is a reflection of the trust and confidence Ndi Enugu have placed in a leader whose performance and vision continue to inspire hope,” Okolo stated.
He further described Governor Mbah as a model of purposeful leadership and good governance, stressing that his administration has continued to set standards in governance and development.
“In today’s Nigeria, Governor Peter Mbah has become a reference point in leadership and governance. His achievements are visible, his vision is clear, and his impact is being felt across Enugu State,” he added.
Speaking on the 2027 governorship election, Okolo expressed optimism that the governor would secure another mandate, insisting that the people of Enugu State remain committed to sustaining the current pace of development.
He also commended APC members and supporters across the state for their discipline, loyalty, and active participation during the primary process, noting that their collective efforts contributed significantly to the success of the exercise.
The Awgu chairman maintained that the message from the grassroots across Enugu State remains one of continuity, progress, and sustained development under Governor Mbah’s leadership.
