The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has commended the Governor of Enugu State, , for what he described as exceptional leadership and transformational governance as the administration marks its third anniversary in office.

In a statement issued through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, the Awgu Council Chairman said the governor had, within three years, redefined governance through bold initiatives, practical leadership, and people-oriented policies that are yielding visible and measurable results across the state.
According to him, the administration has ushered in a new era of infrastructural renewal, economic growth, innovation, and purposeful governance, thereby restoring public confidence in leadership.
“Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is truly a Godsent leader not only to Enugu State but to this generation. His leadership style, courage, vision, and passion for development have distinguished him as a transformational leader committed to building a modern and prosperous Enugu State,” Hon. Okolo stated.
He noted that one of the administration’s most visible achievements remains the extensive infrastructural transformation currently ongoing across the state, stressing that roads, urban renewal initiatives, and strategic development projects are opening up communities and stimulating economic activities.
“The scale of infrastructural transformation witnessed under Governor Mbah’s administration is unprecedented. Communities that were once neglected are now experiencing government presence through quality road construction and other developmental projects that are improving connectivity and commerce,” he added.
Hon. Okolo further applauded the governor’s investment in smart education, particularly the establishment of smart schools across wards in the state, describing the initiative as a bold and forward-looking step towards preparing the younger generation for a technology-driven future.
He maintained that the ongoing reforms in the education sector reflect Governor Mbah’s understanding that education remains a critical foundation for sustainable development and societal advancement.
The Awgu Council Chairman also praised the administration’s achievements in the healthcare sector, especially ongoing efforts aimed at upgrading medical facilities and improving access to quality healthcare services for residents across the state.
On security, Hon. Okolo said Governor Mbah has demonstrated strong commitment to the protection of lives and property through strategic collaboration with security agencies and the introduction of proactive security measures designed to sustain peace and stability.
He equally commended the administration’s policies on agriculture and youth empowerment, noting that the initiatives are gradually creating employment opportunities, encouraging productivity, and promoting economic self-reliance among young people.
Beyond infrastructure and policies, Hon. Okolo emphasized that Governor Mbah has restored confidence in governance through accountability, discipline, innovation, and result-oriented leadership.
“As Enugu State marks three years under Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the visible transformation across different sectors remains a testament to visionary leadership driven by service, commitment, and genuine concern for the wellbeing of the people. The governor has continued to give Ndi Enugu renewed hope for a brighter future,” he said.
Hon. Okolo reaffirmed the support and solidarity of the people of Awgu Local Government Area towards the administration and prayed for greater wisdom, strength, and continued success for Governor Mbah as he continues his mission of transforming Enugu State.
