The Chief Executive Officer of First Choice Afro Villa Ltd and Mburubu Construction Company, Chief Engr. Dr. Jerry Patrick Onuokaibe, has declared that the re-election of Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, is assured, citing the administration’s remarkable infrastructural achievements and visible impact across communities in the state.

Speaking with journalists in Enugu on Sunday, Dr. Onuokaibe said the overwhelming support Governor Mbah continues to enjoy from residents is a reflection of the tangible development projects being executed across the state, including smart schools, Type-2 healthcare centres, road infrastructure, and other transformative initiatives.

According to him, Mburubu community has been a direct beneficiary of the Governor’s development agenda, with its Smart Green School, Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centre, and major road projects nearing completion.

He noted that one of the most significant impacts of the ongoing road construction is the drastic reduction in travel time between Enugu and Mburubu.

“What used to take about three hours to travel from Enugu to Mburubu can now be done in approximately 20 minutes due to the quality road infrastructure being provided by Governor Mbah’s administration,” he stated.

Dr. Onuokaibe described the transformation as unprecedented and assured the Governor of the total support of the Mburubu people ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“This is beyond politics; it is about visible and measurable development. Roads are being constructed, schools are standing, hospitals are becoming operational, and our people can now move around with ease. These are things communities have yearned for over the years, and today they are becoming reality.

“In Mburubu alone, the Smart School, Type-2 Hospital, and road projects are all above 97 percent completion. The improved road network has opened up our community, enhanced accessibility, and stimulated economic activities. The people are happy and appreciative. That appreciation will undoubtedly be reflected in their votes. No vote from Mburubu will be found wanting in support of Governor Mbah,” he said.

Commenting on criticisms from opposition figures, Dr. Onuokaibe dismissed what he described as attempts to undermine the Governor’s achievements, saying such efforts have failed because the people can clearly see the ongoing transformation across the state.

“The opposition expected their allegations and misinformation to generate resentment among the people, but that has not happened. The people are focused on results. When roads, schools, hospitals, and improved security are evident, it becomes difficult for anyone to be distracted by unfounded claims. That is why such narratives have gained little traction among the electorate,” he said.

On Governor Mbah’s decision to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Onuokaibe described the move as strategic and beneficial for the continued development of Enugu State.

He maintained that contrary to claims by critics, governance and development have remained on course, with numerous projects progressing steadily across the state.

“Those suggesting that Enugu has lost direction are simply ignoring the realities on the ground. Development projects are ongoing in every part of the state, government activities remain active, and the people continue to benefit from impactful policies and programmes.

“Different opinions will always exist in politics, but what should matter most is performance and results. At the grassroots level, we are witnessing significant progress, and that is what should shape public discourse rather than misinformation or political propaganda,” he added.
