In a statement issued by the President of the Association, Comrade Donatus Okolieuwa, ESLSSA praised the Governor for what it described as a visionary intervention that underscores his administration’s commitment to empowering young people through quality education.

According to the Association, the scholarship programme demonstrates Governor Mbah’s firm belief that education remains one of the most effective tools for driving sustainable development and socio-economic transformation in Enugu State.

“ESLSSA heartily commends His Excellency, Dr. Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for the award of scholarships to 760 students and teachers across the state. This landmark gesture is a clear reflection of his dedication to human capital development and his commitment to building a brighter future for Enugu youths,” the statement read.

While expressing gratitude for the initiative, the Association appealed to the Governor to extend similar support to Enugu State indigenes currently enrolled in the Nigerian Law School Bar Part II programme.

The Association noted that the financial demands of legal education remain a major challenge for many students and that scholarship assistance would significantly ease the burden on aspiring legal practitioners from the state.

ESLSSA further stated that such support would not only alleviate the financial and emotional pressures associated with the programme but also enable beneficiaries to focus on their studies and excel in their pursuit of legal qualification.

The Association expressed confidence that Governor Mbah, whom it described as a strong advocate of education and youth development, would give favourable consideration to the request.
