Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Oforma’s appointment adds another experienced political voice to the Governor’s administration, with his new role expected to support policy communication, public engagement and the effective dissemination of government programmes and initiatives.
Before his appointment, Oforma was the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State. He was also actively involved in the political realignment that followed the movement in which members of the then Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) structure collapsed into the old APC arrangement.
His political experience at the grassroots level is expected to bring valuable insight into community engagement and political communication, particularly in understanding local issues and effectively communicating government policies to the people.
The appointment is also being viewed as a recognition of Oforma’s political experience, grassroots connections and capacity to contribute to public communication and policy advocacy.
As Senior Special Assistant on Policy and Communication, Oforma is expected to play a role in strengthening the relationship between government policies and the public, while helping to articulate the administration’s development agenda and achievements.
Governor Mbah’s administration has continued to emphasise economic development, job creation, infrastructure, human capital development and improved public service delivery as key pillars of its governance agenda.
Oforma’s emergence is therefore expected to further strengthen the administration’s communication and policy engagement machinery as the government continues to implement its programmes across Enugu State.
