Dr. Udeh is a lawyer, academic, development expert and public servant from Ozalla, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.
His career reflects a remarkable progression from academia and professional practice into public administration and national leadership.
Before his elevation to the Federal Executive Council, Dr. Udeh served the Enugu State Government in several strategic capacities. He was Senior Special Assistant on Development Aid Coordination and Mobilisation, Special Adviser on Education, State Focal Person for the Open Government Partnership, and Commissioner for Rural Development.
These responsibilities provided him with extensive exposure to development coordination, education, grassroots development, government reforms, community affairs and public administration.
As Commissioner for Rural Development, he was particularly connected to the needs and aspirations of communities across Enugu State, contributing his experience and expertise to grassroots development.
He subsequently served as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Enugu State, bringing his extensive legal background, academic experience and professional competence to one of the most important offices in the state administration.
Today, that journey has taken him to an even greater national responsibility.
Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, is the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
His appointment represents a recognition of experience, capacity, professionalism and the confidence placed in him to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s development.
His portfolio is particularly significant at a time when science, technology and innovation are increasingly central to economic growth, job creation, industrialisation and the empowerment of young Nigerians.
With experience spanning law, academia, development, education and public administration, Dr. Udeh brings a broad and valuable perspective to this national assignment.
