Hon. Prince Humphrey Onyima, popularly known as Ebube Mgbowo, has formally assumed office as the Special Adviser to the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on Investment Strategy and Public Relations.

Onyima announced his resumption in a statement dated September 4, 2026, describing his appointment as both an honour and an opportunity to contribute to the administration’s transformative agenda for Enugu State.

With the ceremonial niceties of assumption of office now behind him, the new Special Adviser says he is ready to serve at the Lion Building, where he will bring his experience and perspective to bear on investment strategy and public communication under the Mbah administration.

In the statement, Onyima expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve, saying he was deeply honoured to join the Enugu State Government and contribute to Governor Mbah’s vision for the people of the state.

He wrote: “I am deeply honoured by this opportunity to serve at the Lion Building and contribute to the transformative vision of His Excellency for Ndi Enugu.”

The appointment also signals a new chapter for the media platform associated with the new Special Adviser.

Onyima disclosed that his wife, Princess Onyima Chidera Priscillia, will henceforth take charge of the management of Leadership Scorecard Magazine as its Managing Director.

The arrangement, according to the statement, will enable Onyima to devote his attention fully to his new responsibilities in government while ensuring continuity in the management of the publication.

The new Special Adviser expressed gratitude to friends, associates and supporters for their prayers and goodwill as he begins his new assignment.

“Thank you all for your prayers and support,” he said.

His assumption of office comes at a time when the Enugu State Government is intensifying its focus on investment, economic development, public engagement and the projection of the state’s emerging opportunities to the wider world.

For Onyima, the new assignment is more than another government appointment. It is an invitation to bring ideas to the table, communicate the government’s vision with clarity and help build bridges between policy, investment and the public.
