In his congratulatory message, Okpara described the victory as a significant milestone in Ogbuekwe’s public-service journey, noting that the new mandate comes with the responsibility of responding to the aspirations and expectations of residents across the 14 wards of Nkanu East.
He acknowledged Ogbuekwe’s engagements with communities and stakeholders during the electioneering period, stressing that the next phase should be focused on translating the mandate into inclusive grassroots development and effective local governance.
“Your emergence as Chairman-Elect marks the beginning of a new chapter of service to the people of Nkanu East. I sincerely congratulate you on this achievement and wish you wisdom, strength and courage as you prepare to assume office,” Okpara said.
He further expressed confidence that Ogbuekwe would approach the responsibility with humility, dedication and a strong commitment to the interests of the people.
Okpara concluded by wishing the Chairman-Elect a successful tenure, saying the people of Nkanu East now look forward to a new phase of purposeful grassroots leadership.
