The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has congratulated the Vice President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Enugu State Chapter, Chief Nze Amobi Edeh, popularly known as Agubata 1 of Mgbowo and Ukpo, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a goodwill message issued through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, Okolo described Nze Edeh as a distinguished Igbo leader whose life and public service have been defined by vision, wisdom, humility and a sustained commitment to humanity.
The Awgu Council Chairman joined the celebrant’s family, friends, associates and well-wishers in marking the occasion, commending Nze Edeh for his dedication to the Igbo cause, commitment to community development and consistent demonstration of selfless service.
According to Okolo, these qualities have distinguished the celebrant as a respected voice in traditional and community leadership, while his contributions to the promotion of Igbo unity, peace and collective progress reflect a deep commitment to preserving the values, identity and aspirations of the Igbo people.
He said Nze Edeh’s humility, wisdom and concern for the welfare of others represent enduring leadership qualities worthy of emulation, particularly by younger generations seeking to make meaningful contributions to society.
“On this special day, I join the good people of Awgu and Enugu State to celebrate an extraordinary leader. Nze Amobi Edeh, Agubata 1 of Mgbowo and Ukpo, remains a shining light of humility, wisdom and service to humanity. May the Almighty God grant him long life, sound health and greater accomplishments in the years ahead,” Hon. Okolo prayed.
The Awgu Chairman also reaffirmed his admiration for the celebrant’s contributions to Igbo unity and peaceful coexistence, stressing the importance of leadership that deploys experience, influence and public position in advancing the interests of communities and society at large.
He described Nze Edeh as a leader whose record of service provides inspiration for emerging leaders and reinforces the values of unity, peace, mutual respect and community development.
Okolo further observed that celebrating individuals who have distinguished themselves through service and commitment to the collective good remains an important means of recognising their contributions while encouraging a culture of responsible leadership.
On behalf of his family, the Awgu Local Government Council and the people of Awgu, the Chairman extended warm birthday wishes to Chef Nze Amobi Edeh, praying that his new year would bring renewed strength, divine favour, sound health, greater wisdom and more opportunities to serve humanity.
He expressed the hope that the celebrant would continue to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of Igbo unity, community development and peaceful coexistence across Enugu State and beyond.
The Chairman wished Nze Edeh a fulfilling birthday celebration and many more fruitful years of service, while acknowledging his contributions as a respected leader within the Igbo community.
