Engr. Ogbuekwe Moves to Strengthen Electricity Supply in Nkanu East, Engages ESEA on Partnership

The Executive Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Mike Chikosolu Ogbuekwe, has commenced discussions with the Enugu State Electrification Agency (ESEA) on possible collaboration aimed at improving electricity supply across communities in Nkanu East.

The engagement is part of the council administration’s efforts to address challenges affecting electricity access, improve living conditions and support economic activities across the local government.

During the meeting, Ogbuekwe and officials of ESEA explored practical areas of collaboration and identified possible interventions that could strengthen electricity infrastructure and improve power supply to communities within Nkanu East.

The council chairman emphasised the importance of partnership, dialogue and deliberate action in addressing developmental challenges, stressing that meaningful progress requires sustained engagement between the local government and relevant stakeholders.

He noted that improved electricity supply remains a priority of his administration, particularly because reliable power is essential to the growth of businesses, livelihoods and economic activities at the grassroots.

Ogbuekwe further assured residents that the council would continue to engage relevant government agencies and stakeholders in the pursuit of sustainable solutions to challenges affecting communities across Nkanu East.

The administration, he said, remains committed to people-oriented development and initiatives that will positively impact the lives of residents while creating an enabling environment for economic growth.

The engagement with ESEA represents another step in the council’s efforts to strengthen collaboration with relevant institutions and advance practical solutions to infrastructure and development needs across Nkanu East.
