…As APC Chairman Charges Executives on Ward-Level Mobilisation, Polling Unit Victory

The inauguration ushered in a team of seasoned political mobilisers who pledged to intensify grassroots engagement, consolidate the party’s support base and work towards delivering the APC across polling units in Enugu North.
The newly inaugurated executives are Hon. Malachy Ekwueme, Director General; Hon. Henry Ochu Onoh, Secretary; Hon. Chief Okey Onunze, Assistant Secretary; Hon. Ozoaka Michael, Treasurer; Hon. Obed Uchenna, Financial Secretary; Barr. Chinedo Agu, Woman Leader; Hon. Blessing Ogan, Assistant Woman Leader; Hon. Prince Denis Ozor (Ozor Nwinwanga), Youth Leader; Hon. Francis Okonkwor, Assistant Youth Leader; Hon. Barr. Chiemerie Alum, Legal Adviser; Hon. Chiemerie Ede, Provost; Hon. Chizoba Nnamani, Ex-Officio; Hon. Sunday Nwankwor, Public Relations Officer; and Hon. Ifeanyi Agbo, Organising Secretary.
A major highlight of the occasion was a solidarity visit to the Executive Chairman of Enugu North Local Government Area, Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh, during which the group presented him with its membership card, branded cap and T-shirt. He was subsequently decorated as the Grand Patron of the Network and honoured with an Award of Recognition in appreciation of his outstanding performance, exemplary leadership and contributions to grassroots development.
Addressing members at the ceremony, the APC Chairman in Enugu North, Hon. Earnest Onuoha, charged the newly inaugurated executives to regard themselves as frontline ambassadors and canvassers of the party. He urged them to return to their respective wards and demonstrate their commitment through sustained grassroots mobilisation, strategic political engagement and door-to-door campaigns.
In his remarks, the Director General, Hon. Malachy Ekwueme, declared the Network fully prepared to advance the APC All the Way agenda, expressing confidence in the political prospects of the party.
He attributed the group’s growing momentum to the visible achievements of Governor Peter Mbah and the leadership strides of Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh in Enugu North, noting that these accomplishments had strengthened their mobilisation efforts.
Ekwueme disclosed that the Network currently boasts more than 50 committed members in each polling unit across Enugu North, with duly constituted ward executives coordinating activities at the ward level. He further revealed that the organisation had set a target of expanding its membership to 150 persons per polling unit before December 2026.
Responding, Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh congratulated the newly inaugurated executives, describing them as “political bulldozers” whose organisational strength and mobilisation capacity could make a significant difference at the polling units.
He expressed optimism about the Network’s prospects, citing the calibre of credible and tested political leaders in its ranks as a strong indication of its readiness for the electoral contest.
The council chairman emphasised the growing importance of polling unit-based politics, urging members to take personal responsibility for mobilising voters and consolidating the party’s presence within their respective polling units.
Dr. Onoh expressed profound appreciation for the honour bestowed on him as Grand Patron and pledged his full and unwavering support to the Grassroots Network for Peter Mbah 2027 and its commitment to the APC All the Way agenda.
The ceremony ended on a high note, with enthusiastic chants of “APC! Tomorrow Is Here!” reverberating through the venue, underscoring the renewed enthusiasm, solidarity and determination of members towards the 2027 political project.
