Building Collapse Tragedy Hits Ibadan, Claims 10 Lives

A devastating building collapse has left at least 10 people dead and seven others injured in the Jegede Olunloyo area of Ibadan.

According to eyewitnesses and official sources, the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Mr. Yemi Akinyinka, General Manager of Oyo State Fire Services Agency, confirmed the incident. “We received a distress call at 2:00 a.m. and immediately deployed personnel to the scene,” he said. “Ten persons have been recovered from the debris, while seven others were rescued alive.”

Rescue operations are ongoing, with emergency responders working tirelessly to locate any additional survivors.

The cause of the building collapse is currently unknown and will be investigated.
