The project aims to provide a reliable 24/7 water supply to residents across all wards, ensuring access to clean and potable water. Hon. Okolo emphasized the critical need for clean and accessible water, stating that this initiative aligns closely with His Excellency, Governor Dr. Peter Mbah’s vision of sustainable infrastructure and basic amenities across Enugu State.

“Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, and we are committed to making it a reality for all our residents,” Hon. Okolo said. “This initiative is a testament to our dedication to improving the quality of life for our people.”

By advancing such projects, Awgu LGA is helping to cascade the Governor’s commitment to improving quality of life in every community.

This initiative addresses the significant challenge of access to clean water and sanitation in Enugu State, where only 38% of the population has access to decent sanitation, and 28% lack access to basic water supply services.
