M.C.G.A.S.D. Produces Another Set of Graduates from Vocational Rehabilitation Center Emene

The students of the Vocational Rehabilitation Center Emene, Enugu, under the Ministry of Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development, celebrated the graduation of some students and bid farewell to the former Principal, Mr. Agu Anthony Ezejiugo. The event kicked off with an opening prayer by the resident catechist, Mr. Ogbonaya, who prayed for God’s blessings on Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and his wife, Mrs. Nkechiyere Mbah.

The Honorable Commissioner, Mrs. Ngozi Enih, was unavoidably absent but was ably represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Nkechi Ewoh. Mrs. Ewoh encouraged the graduands and students to utilize the knowledge acquired from the center. She assured them of starter packs to support their future endeavors.

The new Principal, Mr. Jude Eze, thanked Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for visiting the rehabilitation center within his first year in office. Mr. Eze acknowledged the governor’s commitment to rebranding the center to meet global expectations and promote inclusive governance. He praised his predecessor’s dedication and pledged continuity.

Miss Chisom Oriji, an outgoing student, expressed gratitude to Commissioner Ngozi Enih, describing her as “Our mummy with a good heart.” Oriji praised retired Principal Agu Anthony Ezejiugo’s kindness, humility and devotion.

The event featured cultural dances, drama presentations and certificate distribution. Mr. Ezejiugo received an award for his dedication. The ceremony showcased the center’s focus on empowering individuals with disabilities.
