ENUGU STATE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION ANNOUNCES MANDATORY BASIC DIGITAL LITERACY TRAINING FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS

The Enugu State Ministry of Education has announced a mandatory Basic Digital Literacy Training for public school teachers in the Nsukka Education Zone and Obollo Education Zone.

According to a statement released by the Ministry, the training is scheduled to take place from Thursday, November 28, 2024, to Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).

A total of 7,779 teachers from 598 schools in the Nsukka Education Zone and Obollo Education Zone, which include Igbo-Eze South LGA, Igbo-Eze North LGA, Udenu LGA, Igbo-Etiti LGA, Nsukka LGA, and Uzo-Uwani LGA, will participate in the training.

The training is mandatory for all public school teachers under the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), State Technical and Vocational Schools Management Board (STVSMB), and Post-Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB), as well as teachers in schools mandated to the Christian Religious Commissions.

The Enugu State Ministry of Education is committed to improving the quality of education in the state, and this training is a step towards achieving that goal.
