The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, and Enugu State Governor, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
Minister Musawa hailed Governor Mbah’s innovative approach to governance, describing Enugu as “one of the luckiest states in Nigeria.” She emphasized the importance of promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and creative potential, aligning with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Governor Mbah expressed gratitude to Minister Musawa and the Federal Government for their support in developing Enugu State’s tourism sector. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to harnessing the state’s tourism potential, aiming to attract 3 million visitors annually.
“The Unity Christmas Park is a testament to our efforts in developing Enugu State’s tourism sector,” Governor Mbah said. “We are committed to making Enugu a premier destination for tourism in Nigeria.”
The Unity Christmas Park features a range of exciting activities and attractions, including Santa’s Grotto inside a real helicopter, an excursion park where visitors can discover the wonders of a helicopter, thrilling rides and games for all ages, live music and dance performances, delicious food and drinks, and exciting games and competitions.
The park is designed to be a fun-filled experience for the whole family, with a range of activities catering to every age category. The Unity Christmas Park is open daily from 9 am to 11 pm and is located opposite the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu.
The Enugu State Government has invested heavily in the security of lives and property, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors.
The Executive Chairman of Enugu Tourism Board, Dame Rita Mba, stated that steps have been taken to ensure both ambience and safety.
