
Rangers International F.C resumed training on Monday, January 13, 2025, as the team intensifies preparations for the second stanza of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

In a welcome address, the General Manager/CEO of Rangers, Amobi Ezeaku Esq., charged the players to bring their best game to the table as they pursue the club’s target for the season.
Ezeaku congratulated the players, coaches, and backroom staff on their safe return after the nearly two-week break, saying, “We understand what is at stake, especially in the second stanza of the league that will commence later this month.”
The CEO emphasized the importance of unity and teamwork, saying, “I charge all of us to be united in our pursuit of a successful title defense. Let nothing weigh you down.”
Ezeaku also assured supporters that the absence of key players, including Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Kazeem Ogunleye, Isaac Saviour, and Effimi Nsi, as well as technical adviser, Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, who are on national duty with the Super Eagles ‘B’ team, will not be felt.
Rangers ended the first stanza in 4th place on the 20-team log with 31 points, scoring 18 goals and conceding 11. Godwin Obaje and Isaac Saviour lead the team’s goalscoring chart with three goals each.
The team will commence the second stanza with a home match against Niger Tornadoes F.C of Minna in a match day 20 fixture.
