Workers’ Day: Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo Extends Best Wishes to Awgu Workers, Pledges Continued Support

The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has extended warm felicitations and best wishes to everyone in Awgu Local Government and across the state as they welcome the month of May.

In a statement, Hon. Okolo prayed for God’s protection and guidance over the citizens, saying: “HAPPY NEW MONTH AND WORKERS’ DAY, NDI AWGU As we welcome the month of May, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to everyone in Awgu Local Government and across our dear State. May God’s protection and guidance never depart from you.”

The Executive Chairman joined the rest of the world to celebrate Workers’ Day, a special day to honor the tireless efforts, resilience, and sacrifices of workers. He said: “Today, we join the rest of the world to celebrate Workers’ Day, a special day to honour the tireless efforts, resilience, and sacrifices of our workers who continue to build and sustain our communities.”

Hon. Okolo renewed his administration’s commitment to building a better and more prosperous Local Government for the citizens and future generations, saying: “As we commemorate this important day, let us renew our collective commitment to building a better and more prosperous Local Government for ourselves and future generations.”

The Executive Chairman highlighted some of the administration’s achievements, including the construction and rehabilitation of roads, provision of basic amenities, Smart Farming, and programs designed to support economic empowerment and development. He said: “Our administration is committed to improving the welfare of our citizens, enhancing infrastructure, and fostering an environment that promotes growth, progress, and well-being for all Ndi Awgu. So far, our efforts have included the construction and rehabilitation of roads, provision of basic amenities across all the communities, Smart Farming, and various programs designed to support economic empowerment and development.”

Hon. Okolo concluded by encouraging the citizens to continue working together in peace, unity, and progress, saying: “As we begin this new month, I encourage us all to continue working together in peace, unity, and progress. Thank you.”
