In a grand display of love, culture, and elegance, Chukwu Anthony Chukwunwike and Ani Faith Tochukwu were joined in holy matrimony on Saturday, May 10, 2025. The beautiful wedding ceremony, held at the serene Maria Rosa Mystical Parish, Republic Estate, Independence Layout, Enugu, was graced by family, friends, dignitaries, and well-wishers from across Nigeria and beyond.

The ceremony began with a solemn Mass at 10am, reflecting deep Christian values and highlighting the importance of love, commitment, and God’s purpose for marriage.
The opening prayer was led by Sir Chimereze, Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Sir Martin Ani, who also gave the opening remarks.
The atmosphere was filled with spiritual fervor as the congregation prayed for the couple’s happiness and prosperity in their new life together.
Following the prayers the traditional breaking of kola nut took place, symbolizing the union of the two families. The celebratory mood was heightened with the cutting of the cake, a moment that brought joy and laughter to the guests.
The event was attended by distinguished personalities, including the Wedding Sponsor Rear Admiral Obi Ofodile(rtd) GSS psc(+). KSM. mni, Special Guest of honour Minority Whip of the Senate; Dist. Senator Dr. Osita Ngwu, and Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu FNSE, Father of the day, Speaker ESHA, Guest of Honour; Rt. Hon. Uche Ugwu, Igwe Agubuzo, Former Chairman Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council/Former Chairman South East Traditional Rulers Council.
Other notable attendees included Member Representing Awgu South State Constituency in ESHA;Hon. Anthony Nwankwo, Member Representing Aninri Constituency in ESHA;Hon. Magnus Ede, Deputy Chairman Ezeagu LG, Chief Mrs. Nkiruka Ugwuagu (Onwa), Hon. Chief Frank Anioma SPA on Political Matters to the Governor Peter Mbah, and Hon. Prince Isaac Nwoye. The reception, held at Jubilee Hall, located on the ground floor of the Holy Ghost Cathedral in Enugu, was a grand affair.
Guests were treated to vibrant music, cultural dances, and an abundance of traditional and continental dishes.
The atmosphere was electric, with guests adorned in the colors of the day, gold, green, red, and white, adding to the splendor of the event.
The celebration was marked by heartfelt speeches and a powerful toast that read, “In our imperfections, we found love, and the Almighty breathed upon us his strength and made us one.” The families of the late Basil Ani and late Chief Nicholas Chukwu expressed their gratitude to all who attended, making the day a memorable one.
As the evening drew to a close, the celebrants, Engr. & Mrs. Anthony Chukwunwike Chukwu, expressed their gratitude to all who attended and supported their union.
The Chairman also delivered closing remarks, while Prince Tom Onyeagwa (Ide ji uno) led the closing prayer.
