In a bid to fast-track housing development in Enugu State, the Enugu State Realtors Association (ESRA) has initiated a groundbreaking partnership with the state Ministry of Housing. This strategic alliance was unveiled during a courtesy visit by ESRA executives to the Ministry, where the Chairman of the Enugu State People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Martin Chukwuweike, expressed his enthusiasm for a collaborative relationship between the two entities.

According to sources, the ESRA President, Rt. Hon. Steven Obidimma Okafor, outlined the association’s vision for a synergistic partnership, highlighting key areas of cooperation, including joint marketing initiatives for government estates and support for the proposed bill to regulate real estate practices in the state.

Okafor emphasized the association’s commitment to aligning with the government’s housing policies, seeking official recognition, and promoting professionalism in the industry.

Dr. Chukwuweike, representing the Ministry of Housing, welcomed the proposal, assuring ESRA members of their active involvement in policy formulation and implementation. He promised that the association would play a pivotal role in the marketing and disposal of government-owned estates, with agents receiving fair commissions and benefits.
