Prof. Nnamchi Condemns Another Banditry Attack In Eha-Amufu

The lawmaker representing Enugu East/Isi Uzo Federal Constituency of Enugu State in National Assembly, Hon. Professor Paul Sunday Nnamchi has expressed sadness over another herdsmen’s attack in Mgbuji, Eha-Amufu community, Isi Uzo Local Government Area.

Professor Nnamchi in a statement condemned the attack which according to him claimed the lives of five indigenes of the community describing it as a reoccurring incident.

He declared, “I am deeply saddened by the tragic killings in Mgbuji community, Eha Amufu, within my constituency. The loss of those innocent lives is a stark reminder of the security challenges we face in the country.”

He regretted the withdrawal of military personnel in the area by the authorities and called for immediate redeployment of soldiers to Eha-Amufu Community to forestall further carnage in the area and other parts of the constituency that have been faced with similar banditry attacks.

“I urge the relevant authorities to take immediate action to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure justice is served. We must work together to address the root causes of these attacks and provide better protection for our communities.

“As your representative, I am committed to working tirelessly to see that the security challenges in our constituency is addressed and ensure that our communities are safe and secure.

“My heart goes out to the families of the victims. May they find solace in the memories of their loved ones. I stand with you in this difficult time.”
