The Enugu State Government has launched the Enugu Startup Incubation Program (ESIP), a structured capacity-building initiative designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage founders in transforming their ideas into viable, investor-ready ventures.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The programme is a direct reflection of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s ambition to position Enugu as a leading innovation and technology hub in Nigeria. ESIP is jointly driven by a consortium of partners, including the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency (Enugu SME Center), the Startup Development Centre (SDC), B4B Network, and Capitis Global Ventures Limited.
Built as an intensive six-week accelerator, ESIP provides participants with a comprehensive pathway to building sustainable businesses. Founders undergo mentorship, structured learning, and hands-on guidance to help them validate ideas, refine their business models, understand customer needs, build traction, and prepare compelling investor pitches.
According to the organisers, the programme is targeted at individuals with early-stage concepts as well as those already building products or services but in need of strategic direction and professional support. ESIP aims to strengthen Enugu’s innovation ecosystem and equip local founders with the tools to scale their ventures beyond regional and national boundaries.
The training fee is ₦175,000, and applications are now open via enugusme.en.gov.ng/esip.
The initiative underscores Enugu State’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and building an economy driven by innovation, digital skills, and high-growth startups.
