Prof. Nnamchi Hosts Irish Ambassador for Strategic Talks

Hon. Professor Paul Sunday Nnamchi, member representing Enugu East/Isi Uzo Federal Constituency, hosted Irish Ambassador to Nigeria, Peter Ryan on Tuesday, January 28, 2026.

The meeting focused on strengthening ties between Enugu East/Isi Uzo Federal Constituency and the Republic of Ireland, with discussions centered on technology, agriculture, and educational exchange programs.Ryan

As Chairman of the Nigeria-Ireland Legislative Exchange Program, Committee, Professor Nnamchi aims to leverage his position to foster economic collaboration between his constituency and Ireland.

Ambassador Ryan’s visit was his fourth to Professor Nnamchi’s office, highlighting the growing partnership.
Key outcomes of the meeting include:
Possible Visit of Professor Nnamchi and his team to Ireland early this year to engage with Irish Parliament members, ICT companies, and tertiary institutions.

Professor Nnamchi is also believing that Ireland’s expertise in agriculture could benefit the proposed Federal University in Enugu East/Isi Uzo Federal Constituency through exchange programs.

Professor Nnamchi’s efforts have earned him recognition as a champion of development in Enugu East/Isi Uzo, with notable achievements in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
