The Enugu State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has formally announced the successful conclusion of its local government congresses across the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state, describing the exercise as peaceful, credible, and a reflection of the party’s commitment to internal democracy.

According to the statement, the exercise witnessed active participation from party members and stakeholders across the state, with no reports of major disputes or irregularities. The leadership expressed satisfaction with the conduct of members and the transparent nature of the process.
The NDC congratulated all those who emerged victorious in the congresses and called on them to demonstrate inclusive leadership, dedication, and commitment to the party’s ideals. It further urged aspirants, leaders, and supporters who may have had different interests during the process to set aside differences and work together in unity for the overall growth and success of the party.
“As we move forward, unity remains our greatest strength. We call on all members, leaders, stakeholders, and aspirants to close ranks and channel their energies toward building a formidable platform capable of winning elections and delivering good governance,” the statement read.
The party also assured members that preparations for the 2027 general elections are already underway, adding that an official timetable outlining key activities and processes will be released in due course.
