…Pledges Massive Grassroots Support Ahead of General Elections

In a statement issued by the National Director of Media and Publicity of the movement, Comrade Anekeoku Franklin, on behalf of the National Coordinator, the group described the emergence of the candidates as a victory for democratic participation, grassroots politics, and progressive leadership within the APC in Enugu State.
The statement specifically congratulated Rt. Hon. Uche Ugwu, member representing Udi North Constituency and current Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon. Osita Eze of Oji River Constituency; Rt. Hon. Dr. Okechukwu Aneke of Udi South Constituency; Rt. Hon. Magnus Edeh of Aninri Constituency; Rt. Hon. Anthony Nwankwo of Awgu South Constituency; Hon. Barr. Adanma Ode for Ezeagu Constituency; and Hon. Charles Ezenta for Awgu North Constituency.
According to the movement, the successful candidates distinguished themselves through loyalty to the party, dedication to public service, and sustained engagement with the people at the grassroots level. The group noted that their victories at the primaries were a reflection of the confidence reposed in them by APC delegates and stakeholders across the Enugu West Senatorial Zone.
“The emergence of these candidates is not only a triumph for the APC but also a strong indication that the people desire experienced, focused, and people-oriented leadership,” the statement read.
The RG Municipal Movement further commended the peaceful conduct of the primary elections and praised party leaders, delegates, and supporters for demonstrating political maturity and commitment to internal democracy throughout the exercise.
Reaffirming its political stance ahead of the forthcoming general elections, the movement pledged total support for all the APC candidates, assuring them of extensive grassroots mobilization, strategic campaign support, and active participation across communities within the senatorial zone.
The group stated that it would continue to work closely with party stakeholders and supporters to ensure victory for all APC candidates during the elections, emphasizing that unity, consistency, and people-centered governance remain essential for the growth of the party and the development of the state.
The statement also urged the candidates to remain steadfast, humble, and committed to effective representation, adding that the expectations of the people are high and must be met with purposeful leadership and responsive governance.
“As you proceed to the general elections, we encourage you to sustain the spirit of unity within the party and remain committed to policies and programs that will uplift the people and advance good governance across Enugu State,” the statement added.
The movement concluded by wishing all the candidates success in the forthcoming elections while expressing optimism that the APC would record significant victories across the Enugu West Senatorial Zone.
