A United Kingdom-based British-Nigerian basketball player, entrepreneur, and Chief Executive Officer of Ozobz Foods Limited, Mr. Anthony Sopuluchukwu Ozobuekwe, has commended Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, for implementing policies that have transformed the state into an emerging hub for investment, enterprise, and youth-driven development.

Ozobuekwe said the administration’s strategic investments in critical infrastructure, improved security, and business-friendly reforms have significantly enhanced investor confidence, positioning Enugu among Nigeria’s most attractive destinations for local and international investment.

According to him, the prevailing atmosphere of peace, security, and ease of doing business under Governor Mbah’s administration influenced his decision to establish and expand his business operations in Enugu.

The British-Nigerian investor disclosed that Ozobz Foods Limited has continued to expand its footprint in the state through investments in agriculture, with farms and production facilities already established. He expressed optimism about the long-term economic opportunities being created by the current administration.

Beyond his agricultural investments, Ozobuekwe said he remains committed to youth empowerment through sports as the convener of the Ozobz Elite Basketball Tournament, a biannual basketball championship hosted in Enugu. He noted that the competition has become an important platform for discovering and developing young basketball talents while promoting grassroots sports development, youth engagement, and community integration.
