For years, the road posed serious challenges to commuters, farmers, traders and residents due to severe erosion and deterioration. Today, that narrative is changing. Following the immediate mobilisation of contractors to the site, work has continued at an impressive pace, bringing renewed hope to thousands who depend on the road for their daily economic and social activities.
An engineer by training and a development-driven legislator by conviction, Hon. Onwuegbu has remained actively involved in the project. He has carried out routine inspections, provided technical guidance, and ensured that the construction is executed to professional standards with lasting solutions to the erosion menace that has threatened the road for years.

– 1.5km Agbogugu–Enugu–Port Harcourt Express Road link.
– 2.2km Uhuagu–Orie Awgu Road in Awgu Local Government Area.
– 3km Umuenem–Ezinesi Road in Oduma Ward 3 leading to Ndeaboh.
– 1.5km Ibite Road in Ogugu, Awgu Local Government Area.
These projects have opened up rural communities, enhanced the movement of agricultural produce, reduced travel time, strengthened local commerce, and improved the overall quality of life for residents.
