
…Over 70 Motorcycle Riders Receive Fuel Support as Youths Reaffirm Support for Tinubu, Mbah, Uche Okolo, Nwankwo, Ezenta, Other APC Candidates

Basil Ojengwa, and the Special Adviser to the Awgu Local Government Chairman on Transport, Hon. Barr. Olisaemeka Udeh, Esq., led an engagement with youths and motorcycle operators from across the local government.
The meeting, which brought together transport-sector youths from different communities and wards, focused on community mobilisation, youth participation and strategies for strengthening the party’s structures ahead of the forthcoming council poll.

A major highlight of the engagement was the distribution of fuel support to more than 70 motorcycle riders, an initiative aimed at supporting members of the local transport community while deepening interaction between political stakeholders and residents.
Participants expressed their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, APC chairmanship candidate for Awgu, Hon. Uche Okolo, as well as Hon. Anthony Nwankwo, candidate for Awgu South State Constituency, and Hon. Charles Ezenta, candidate for Awgu North State Constituency and other APC Candidates from top to bottom.

The discussions also focused on strengthening ward and polling-unit structures across Awgu, with participants encouraged to maintain regular contact with residents and promote wider participation in the electoral process.

Speakers highlighted the growing role of digital communication in political mobilisation, particularly WhatsApp groups and other community-based platforms, as tools for sharing information about party activities, programmes and candidates.

The participants also discussed the 2027 general elections and the importance of sustaining effective community networks beyond the forthcoming local government election.
Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Barr. Olisaemeka Udeh, Esq., who hosted the engagement, reaffirmed his commitment to working with youths and stakeholders in the transport sector to promote stronger community participation and political engagement across Awgu.

Udeh stressed the importance of sustained interaction with residents, noting that regular engagement with communities remains essential to understanding local concerns and building stronger relationships between political stakeholders and the electorate.

Also speaking, Comr. Basil Ojengwa, Enugu State APC Youth Leader, emphasised the importance of youth involvement in political and community activities. He encouraged participants to remain active within their respective wards and contribute to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures.

The engagement forms part of wider political consultations and mobilisation activities taking place across Enugu State ahead of the September 2026 Local Government Council elections.
The meeting ended with participants expressing continued commitment to community mobilisation and support for the APC and its candidates ahead of the forthcoming electoral contests.
