Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh has expressed profound appreciation to the people of Enugu North LGA following his declaration as the winner of the September 26, 2026, Chairmanship Election conducted by the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC).

In a statement following his declaration, Onoh pledged continuity, effective governance and a renewed commitment to the development of Enugu North LGA, assuring residents that his administration would remain focused on addressing their needs and advancing the collective interests of the people.
He expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the APC, his campaign team, dedicated supporters and everyone who worked tirelessly throughout the electioneering process to contribute to the party’s success at the polls.
Onoh also commended the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for his visionary leadership and development-focused administration.
According to the chairman-elect, the Mbah administration has established a clear direction for development in the state through its emphasis on infrastructure, economic growth, effective governance and improved public services.
He said the administration of Enugu North LGA would continue to align with the broader development vision of Governor Mbah and contribute its quota towards sustaining the momentum of development across the state.
The chairman-elect further commended the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) and its officials for conducting the local government election, particularly in Enugu North LGA.
He acknowledged the role of the electoral body and other stakeholders in the electoral process, expressing appreciation for their contributions to the conduct of the exercise.
Onoh stressed that the mandate belongs to the people, pledging to work closely with residents, community leaders, stakeholders and other relevant partners to consolidate existing achievements and pursue further development across Enugu North LGA.
He also called for unity and collective effort among residents, noting that the election should mark the beginning of another phase of service, development and inclusive governance in the local government.
