Enugu MSME Agency Supports Fashion Enterprise With Equipment Grant

The Enugu State MSME & Startup Agency, popularly known as the Enugu SME Center, has continued its intervention in the state’s small and medium-scale business sector with the provision of equipment support to Nika Fashion Couture.

The intervention, provided under the Enugu State MSME Equipment Support Grant, is aimed at strengthening the capacity of local enterprises, improving productivity and enabling beneficiaries to expand their businesses and create additional employment opportunities.

For Nika Fashion Couture, the equipment support is expected to enhance production capacity, improve service delivery and increase the enterprise’s ability to generate sustainable income.

The initiative is part of the Enugu State Government’s broader efforts to promote entrepreneurship, support micro, small and medium enterprises, and strengthen the productive capacity of businesses across the state.

Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah had, in his manifesto, pledged to promote entrepreneurship development as a means of expanding economic opportunities and reducing youth unemployment.

“We shall incentivise entrepreneurship development at all stages… This will increase enterprise in the State and reduce youth unemployment.”

The intervention at Nika Fashion Couture therefore represents a practical step towards translating that policy commitment into direct support for businesses operating within the state.

Beyond the immediate beneficiaries, the equipment support is expected to contribute to wider economic activity by enabling businesses to expand their operations, sustain existing jobs and potentially create new employment opportunities.
