NIGERIA AT 66: ONWUEGBU SALUTES CONSTITUENTS, RENEWS THE CALL FOR UNITY, COURAGE AND A FUTURE WORTH BUILDING

The Member representing Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Anayo B. Onwuegbu, FNSE, has extended warm Independence Day greetings to his constituents and Nigerians across the country and in the diaspora, urging citizens to renew their collective faith in the Nigerian project.

In a message marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, Onwuegbu described the occasion as more than a celebration of nationhood, stressing that it offers an opportunity to reflect on the journey so far, honour the sacrifices of earlier generations and recommit to the ideals upon which the nation’s future must be built.

The federal lawmaker saluted the resilience, courage and determination of Nigerians, noting that despite the challenges confronting the country, the strength of the Nigerian spirit remains a vital force for national renewal.

He called for greater unity, peace and responsible citizenship, stressing that the task of building a stronger Nigeria requires the collective contribution of citizens, leaders and institutions.

According to him, the nation’s democratic journey must continue to be strengthened through inclusive governance, respect for democratic values and sustained commitment to development that creates opportunities for citizens and improves the quality of life across communities.

Onwuegbu also urged his constituents in Aninri, Awgu and Oji River to remain hopeful and committed to the development of their communities, assuring them that their aspirations remain central to his mandate of effective representation.

He expressed optimism that Nigeria’s vast human and material potential, combined with the resilience and ingenuity of its people, can propel the country towards a more peaceful, prosperous and inclusive future.

He therefore called on Nigerians to look beyond the challenges of the present and work collectively towards a nation that future generations will be proud to inherit.

“As we celebrate 66 years of nationhood, let us renew our faith in Nigeria, strengthen the bonds that unite us and continue to build with courage, responsibility and hope. The Nigeria of our dreams is a shared responsibility, and its future is ours to shape.”

Onwuegbu wished his constituents and Nigerians at home and abroad a peaceful and memorable Independence Day celebration.
